Start with the RV and parking layout
Tell the provider which RV will use the pad and how it will reach the space. Include available dimensions and loading information, where the vehicle will sit and how you intend to maneuver it into position.
A parking rectangle is only part of the layout. The route from the road, turns beside the house and connection to an existing driveway also need to be reviewed. If another vehicle or structure will share the area, include that in the initial description.
Check the proposed parking use and location against the address-specific requirements before treating the layout as final. The local approvals guide helps start that process; this page does not grant permission for a particular parking arrangement.
RV pad support and slab design
The intended vehicle is an input to the slab design. This page does not specify one thickness or reinforcement arrangement for every RV.
The NRMCA cracking guide explains the importance of uniform support and the role of reinforcement in controlling crack width. Those principles matter, but they do not turn an ordinary patio detail into a vehicle-specific design.
Ask the provider to explain the proposed preparation, slab detail and joint layout together. Where design input is needed, make sure the actual vehicle information reaches the person responsible. Our thickness and reinforcement guide helps organize the questions.

Approach, drainage and driveway connection
Review the entire route to the parking area. If the project includes widening an existing driveway, identify the added footprint and where the old and new surfaces will meet.
The NRMCA joint guide explains that connections and separation joints serve different purposes. Ask for a deliberate detail rather than assuming that every addition should be joined in the same way.
Drainage belongs in that discussion too. Tell the provider where you have seen water collect and ask how the proposed levels relate to retained paving and nearby structures. A driveway extension may be part of the project, but the quote should show whether it is included.
RV pad price and separate services
Compare the complete parking project, not just the pad area.
| Part of the request | What to make clear |
|---|---|
| Concrete pad | Dimensions, intended vehicle and selected finish |
| Approach | New or widened paving included or separate |
| Preparation | Removal, ground work and access assumptions |
| Other services | Electrical or other hookups handled separately |
| Future cover | Any structure-support requirements identified |
Ask who will confirm when the new concrete can support your RV before arranging to park on it. Curing and strength development continue after finishing; appearance alone is not an instruction to use the pad. See when to use new concrete.
Tell us about the RV and your proposed location. Burleson Concrete Quotes is an independent referral website; a provider may contact you to discuss the project. You do not need a finished slab design to make the enquiry.
